Back and Ready!!!

Pamela Facey — July 28, 2023

I missed you guys! Greece was something I will never forget and I feel so grateful to have experienced with my closest friends and family, but let me tell you that jetlag kicked my butt. How have you been enjoying summer? As much as I’ve been loving it, I can’t believe how fast the days are blowing by. It feels like I just started writing “Victory Lap”, and yet it’s almost ready for release! I’ll include a sneak peek of the book cover at the bottom of the newsletter. I can’t wait to share it with all of you.

In Salon News…

Have you met Pam’s younger brother Aaron? He’s not just a musician with tons of catchy music and captivating music videos, but he will be working behind the desk on Thursdays and days that Denise is away. For those of you that have been with us since the old location, you’ll remember that he actually shared this role with Erin at the end of 2019 into 2020 when our dearest Jasmine initially went on maternity leave! He’s been getting acquainted with all the new products we’ve added to our inventory since then. The picture below should jog your memory.

Don’t be shy - come and book with our Jr Stylist, Kat! She loves performing blonding services for her guests so come on in and book with her to get your new summer hair if you haven’t already! The picture below of the beautiful blonde against the brick wall is a picture of Kat’s work. Come get a taste of her talent!

Life Lately…

I missed you all so much while I was away in Greece! We travelled with 19 people to celebrate my sister’s 10 year anniversary to her beloved husband, Yosvanii - and I got the exciting task of being the officiant! It was so beautiful to experience them recommit to each other on the beaches of Crete. As most of you know, I have a pretty sever reaction to dairy from cows but lucky for me, a lot of the dairy in Greece is made from lamb, sheep, and goat so I was able to indulge to my heart’s desire. I’ll be dreaming about the cheese and ice cream for a while.

We set out to find the pink sand beach we had been seeing all over Instagram only to find that it wasn’t quite as pink as we it appeared in pictures. Still stunning, we basked in the sun and walked along the shore reveling in the beauty that the beach encompassed whether or not it was up to the standards Instagram had set for us. I didn’t realize when we set out in Crete that our entire trip would take place during a massive heat wave (Kevin witnessed 3 people faint), but the memories I made with my family are priceless (and so is the tan that I left with). You might recognize Julia in the picture below from the Saturdays she spent behind the desk last summer before she went off to university!

This trip also made me realize how addicting fiction is - do any of you guys have the same guilty pleasure? I went through 2 Colleen Hoover books while awake, and it’s safe to say I am hooked. As much as vacation is a fun escape, I’m so happy to be home. Besides - I can escape whenever I want to with one of those books!

I want to know what you’e been reading! Please let me know any and all recommendations.

XO

Pamela
